The Friends of Sakonnet Lighthouse

Formed in 1985, The Friends of Sakonnet Point Lighthouse, Inc. is a nonprofit group for the exclusive public purpose of restoring, maintaining and conserving the Sakonnet Lighthouse in perpetuity for the benefit of the public and to do all things necessary to accomplish the same. Comprised of local Little Compton residents and concerned citizens, the Friends acquired the light front he Haffenreffer family in 1985 and subsequently raised $100,000 to partially repair her in 1992. The Friends now seek to raise the balance of funds necessary to restore the Lighthouse to her former glory.
